The Quasar Wars
For 40 years, a war of grand proportions raged between the 4 planets of the Capella solar system. Noir, the leader of the Onyx Sect from the planet Lune, led his cult to construct obelisks across the entire system in order to summon a quasar and beings known as Voiders from beyond the darkness.
Forces from the three other planets fought valiantly, but they were unable to thwart Noir’s plan. Upon being summoned, the quasar rapidly began consuming the system’s stars. In the end, only the star Aiga remained, still slowly being absorbed by the black hole.

Millions lost their lives, but after a concerted effort organized by the Council of Sages, Noir was arrested and most of the obelisks were sealed. In this ruined civilization, with its economy destroyed and obsolete technology, life must start anew. Now, 4 years after the end of the war, only one obelisk remains to be sealed…

The Tetragram Culture
Historians say that the first signs of civilization in the Capella solar system were 4 runes of great significance discovered in the ruins of the so-called “Ancients”. These runes, as well as reverence of the number 4, led to what is now known as the Tetragram Culture spreading throughout the galaxy. In today’s society composed of 4 planets and 4 cultures, people adhere to this culture and superstition; they adopt nicknames (noms de guerre) composed of 4 symbols. The most fanatical ones only allow themselves to use these 4-letter nicknames. In a galaxy torn apart by intrigue, prejudice, and power imbalance, the culture of the tetragram is a mysterious force that binds all people together.

The 1st Planet, Lune
Initially the biggest moon of the second planet Juma, following the spread of the Biosymbiosis pandemic, Lune became the center of those opposed to the use of alien cells. A separatist movement sprouted up and began studying gravity in order to disconnect the gravitational center of Lune from the planet Juma and emancipate itself. In the process of their research, they discovered creatures from beyond the darkness called Voiders. After constructing obelisks to summon these creatures and control the planet’s gravitational fields, Lune was finally detached from Juma, and it proclaimed itself an independent planet in the early years of the Quasar Wars.

The 4th Planet, Alba
The farthest planet from the sun, Alba is covered by diamonds and other crystals. Its people are reclusive and possess great psychic aptitude. During the Quasar Wars, their psychic powers were weaponized and refined to specifically affect Voiders. As a result of the immensely destructive war, the dark feelings deep within the human soul became clear and accessible to those who could read minds, causing a bout of post-war depression among its people. Today, they have become elitists and claim to be responsible for saving the galaxy from the quasar. Alba is also home to the Council of Sages, the preeminent governing body of the entire solar system.
